Mysterium Cosmographicum
In the 17th century the astronomer Johannes Kepler had a beautiful idea how the Solar System could work. The model as seen in his book Mysterium Cosmographicum came to life in wood, not in silver as Kepler planned. It was built as a requisite for the musical film Tycho by Johannes Grenzfurthner.
Film Still by Thomas Weilguny.
Original drawing by Johannes Kepler (1596)
